Application Blocking 

Application BlockingCYAN SECURE WEB analyses requests in various ways in order to detect embedded protocols, types of data transported and other typical characteristics of the traffic. These pieces of information build then a profile of the application and indicate its purpose. CYAN SECURE WEB allows you to permit or decline the usage of these applications per user, per group, or per IP addresses. The following applications can be detected by CYAN SECURE WEB:

  • Skype, ICQ and MSN Protocol
  • Java, Active X
  • Flash Content
  • PDF
  • Office Documents
  • Archives, Images
  • etc.

 

HTTPS Intercept

HTTPS InterceptIn case data is transported in encrypted connections, the firewall is “blind” concerning the contents. CYAN SECURE WEB breaks up the encrypted data stream to receive clear-text information. Now CYAN SECURE WEB can apply all filter methods including virus scanning on the data stream. Data is available in clear text solely in the memory of the proxy server. All data that is transferred via the network is still encrypted.

 

Soft Use Policy

Soft Use PolicyIf users request some blocked URLs, CYAN SECURE WEB will inform the users about the blockade. Soft  Use Policy allows users to still make the decision to view these URLs and take the responsibility for their own actions. The administration will be informed if a blocked URL was viewed.

 

CYAN Reporting System

ReportingCYAN Reporting System is a database driven analysing tool. The Internet traffic logs of all installations of CYAN SECURE WEB can be fed into one central database. Thus, you can retrieve comprehensive reports about the Internet activities of your users, categories of the websites accessed or blocked and about the effectiveness of your security solution, cumulated for the entire company.


CYAN Anti Virus Add-on

Anti Virus Add-On

Viruses and other malicious code can be part of various contents. CYAN Anti Virus Add-On shall not replace the virus scanning solution present at the users workstation or the file server. It is a perfect completion of the overall security to block the viruses already at the entrance to the network.
The tight integration of anti virus scanners into CYAN SECURE WEB reduces the administrative task to the effort of deciding which scan engine to use. For the time being, you may choose between Kaspersky and Sophos.
