The Secure Web software package for Redhat systems is available in a Redhat software repository (http://yum.cyan-networks.com/ ). Please follow the instructions below on how to use the Redhat package management yum to retrieve and install the software.


Installation 

 

To install on Redhat Enterprise Linux 5, you can download the package of CYAN Secure Web or CYAN Reporting System directly from our repository:


  • Add the CYAN Networks repository to your yum configuration:

    echo '[cyan-yum]
    name=CYAN Networks Yum Repository
    baseurl=http://yum.cyan-networks.com/redhat5/stable/
    enabled=1
    gpgcheck=0
    '> /etc/yum.repos.d/cyan.repo

  • Update your package list with

    yum search cyan

  • Get the CYAN Secure Web package with

    yum install cyan-sweb-1.4

  • You can also install only particular components, e.g. the CYAN Reporting System package with 

    yum install cyan-sweb-1.4-crs


Upgrade

 

For upgrading SECURE WEB from version 1.3 follow the steps below

 

  • Remove the current installation

    yum remove cyan-sweb-1.3*

    Note 1: do not forget the * to tell yum to remove all cyan-sweb components
    Note 2: this will only remove the program files, the configuration files will remain preserved on the harddisk.

  • Install the new version

    yum install cyan-sweb-1.4

 

Version 1.3 LTS (Long Time Support)

 

Version 1.3 is defined as long time support. This version is widely deployed and will be supported for a longer period of time. If you choose to stick with this version simply change the package name on installation:

 

  • Install the CYAN SECURE WEB 1.3 bundle

    yum install cyan-sweb-1.3
